The Council for Learning Disabilities (CLD)
The Council for Learning Disabilities (CLD) is an international organization composed of professionals who represent diverse disciplines, is committed to enhancing the education and quality of life for individuals with learning disabilities across the life span. CLD accomplishes this by promoting and disseminating evidence-based research and practices related to the education of individuals with learning disabilities. In addition, CLD fosters (a) collaboration among professionals; (b) development of leaders in the field; and (c) advocacy for policies that support individuals with learning disabilities at local, state, and national levels.
At $130.00 per year, CLD membership is a great value for professionals who want to keep abreast of best practices and current research. CLD also offers a Student Membership for $55 per year. There are many benefits to membership for students.

Regular membership includes subscriptions to Learning Disability Quarterly and Intervention in School and Clinic. Reduced subscription rates are available to CLD Members for several journal titles.
Virginia Council for Learning Disabilities (VCLD)
This Virginia Chapter sponsors local and regional activities for individuals who want to keep current with the rapidly growing information base about people with learning disabilities. Opportunities are available for professionals to come together for discussion and camaraderie.
For the additional annual fee of $10.00, the VCLD provides many opportunities for teachers and educators:
